Rs Turbo Series 1 - Good investment?
I am a lucky owner of a S1 but looking at some of the prices of them on ebay especially, it looks like they are not selling.
Im wondering is it worth me holding onto the car for years to come?

Lol at worse investment! Tell that to folk who. Ought mint rs500's 8-9 years ago!
S1's would be good too but it HAS to be of the condition a collector would want. If not just drive and enjoy

Depends on condition as already said, I think they are an investment and might have stopped climbing in price at moment but will go up again I would think, all the old fords are! However like all the other RS's when your chucking big money at them your not going to see it back
I have around 9k in mine the way it stands now after a full resto and would hope to see that back atleast the day I sell it the rarer they get the more they will increase

As said above prices peaked around the 25th anniversary and then tailed off a bit on anything but the most excellent examples which have still continued to rise. Next year will be the 30th anniversary so who knows what effect that might have.
A number of those listed on Ebay look to be seriously over priced for what they are. Best ones change hands without ever being advertised and for serious money.

I'm currently looking to buy one at the moment but can't find a really good one.
If your looking to sell send me the details of the car so I can have a look?

Thanks for the reply.
I've been searching ebay and other forum websites but all seem to have something dodgy about them, engines, poor bodywork etc.
If you know of any could you let me know via this forum please.
Much appreciated.

The guy above likes to dress like a lady.
Agree with this for the most part. You can and will plough thousands in. If you get a return or not is down to the market.
Unless you buy summat like a Carrera GT you cant guarantee it a good investment. Use it, enjoy it and take care of it. What you dont make back in £'s you will replace with bucket loads of fun.
