Which pump for EFI Turbo Escort

I've got EFI Turbo running gear in my Estate, has a few mods I am expecting the power to be roundabout 180 (not running yet, but going from the spec)

Before the car was EFI Turbo I ran it on MFI for a couple of years. The car still currently has the MFI tank, pump and fuel lines.

A friend of mine has an EFI cabriolet which he is breaking up and I will be scrapping it for him - the car has the complete EFI tank, pump lines and everything which I can take off it for free if I want it but the fuel pump is dead.

My questions are - Is it neccesary/worthwhile switching from MFI pump to an EFI one on the (now EFI) car or is the MFI pump fine on there?

AS the EFI pump is dead I would need to replace it if I do decide to fit the EFI tank and bits - can anyone point me to the right pump I'd need - someone mentioned a standard Escort Cosworth one would be the best thing to fit?

I would kind of like to get the MFI tank pump etc off as it's not too pretty under there with the MFI stuff, I'd like to lose the external pump.

That said, if it's not required or worthwhile I don't want to spend money on the new pump as I've got plenty of other stuff to buy yet.

Thanks in advance for help

From what I was advised the other day by Karlos , an mfi pump will do the job fine mate . Mine should make in the region of 280 and apparently the stock mfi pump will be fine :top:

MFI pump is just fine. No need to change. You can use a cossie pump but there is no need really.

Awesome thanks for the help I'll leave it as-is then I replaced the previously noisy pump just before the car came off the road so its good news that I don't need to change it again
