Rebuild Engine Or Buy A Ready Made One?
Ok so the situation was
My engine has suffered from a cracked block and I became fed up of it so put my car in the garage and locked it up, its been off road for over 2 years now (cant believe its been so long )
but my circumstances have changed (finally!!) as I've got funds to get my car on road but I cant decide if I should just rebuild the spare standard block that I have.. However this means getting the block bored and honed to fit the pistons that are in my cracked block, then rebuilding the engine, I can easily source the parts for around £500 and can get the block honed etc but I cant build the engine as I don't have the time
or
Should I just buy a ready made efi engine .. I've seen a few in the for sale section here going for around £500+ .. just go efi, drop the engine straight in.. but this means getting a new loom rewiring it going ofab/ofac blah blah which is a headache aswell and thats gonna cost me a few extra quid for the loom, inlet and so on, and to be honest I really cant be bothered to source all the parts again for efi as I have everything I need for the MFI engine to run apart from a built engine lol
Really cant decide what to do as when I was driving it on MFI the power was more than enough for me (scared the shit outta me) so I dont want anything more at the moment as I need to get used to driving a turbocharged car again as its been soooooooooooo long!
Any helpful advice is welcome

Agreed.
But if you buy it off someone on here with a good rep I don't see that being a problem.
An EFI lump is the same as an MFI lump but with different inlet ports, a CPS hole and a core plug where the dizzy fits, worst case you will need an EFI to MFI adapter plate or drop your MFI head on if you can't be bothered with changing management.
