Default intermitent missfire?? any ideas??

i've just got my 1990 s2 running for the 1st time for about a year, it has a missfire which comes and goes, when starting from cold it generaly missfires for a couple of minutes then revs clear, take it for a run down the drive for 50 yds or so and on the return the missfire is back, i've just replaced dizzy cap, rotor arm and plugs but no different, i have replaced the fuel distributer on the air box and i'm not 100% i got the pipes in the right order, would anyone have a diagram which shows which goes to each injector??, could this cause a missfire??, if i had some hair i'd be pulling it out!!, any help would be appreciated, cheers, steve

steve i would advise having it setup and tuned as it could be just done to that. If its not at that point you would be advised of what the issue would be if it couldnt be sorted at the same time. Changing random parts hoping it will cure it very rarely finds the problem unless your lucky on the off chance. But even then it would need to be tuned after.

Change the leads. I had a set of magnecors that would give me a misfire under full load. I even changed the fuel tank before I found it was the leads.... Was well pissed!!

Haaa! I had exactly this once. I didn't get to change the tank but it was soon on the list! Full load misfire I had.
