Rs turbo won't start when cold
Hi there my s2 rs turbo won't start at all when cold, when you do get it running tho it's seem fine, to get it started I have to squirt easy start in the the bost pipe then replace dump valve, then it's fires and strugled to run and aventually runs fine, could this be the cold start valve ? I've been told it could be no power to fuel ecu but I've checked the harness with meter going to ecu and a few of the wires are live, at the min the car has been off road but it's winter and I want to put the rst cabby away as it's like a siv in the rain lol, and help would be much apriciated, really need to get her on the road and then I can get it to the tuners for a set up, cheers Ryan

Hi mate it's mfi, yea the cold start valve is all pluged in ok, I've tried the meter on the cold start wiring and don't seem to be getting a feed but I had been told the cold start valve dosent come live untill it's - Sumet, I do have a spare cold start valve from my mfi xr3i, is it worth changing that ? Cheers Ryan

Cheers for the help mate, I'll let you kno how I get on, I'll start with the cold start valve and look into the metering head, I know there is presure to the cold start valve tho so this made me think it must be the cold start or the fuel ecu or something, it really is a pain, got loads of money in the car, and can't even drive it as it's no fun worrying if it will start after been parked up, I'll keep you all informed anyway, cheers

I've taken the cold start valve off and changed it for my old xr3i one which always started first time, before fitting it back in the manifold I pluged it in and conected the red hose, I then spun the engine over and no fuel came out of the cold start valve, surely it shud be spraying out? It's like the cold start isn't getting a electrical feed? Any ideas ? Cheers ryan
