Ive heard good and bad things abouth the 1900, dont quote me as im not a pro but ive heard that sometimes rods etc from a sierra engine and as far as im aware they are like chocolate. Iv heard specialised are good but ive also heard that they are not worth checking them out yourself first.
If your building an engine it may pay off to go the trusted ZVH route and get another 100cc.

specialized engines had no probs myself my advice is get your engine thier then get a good tuner the engines they use are not bored out or have seirra piston bit o chinese wispers thier your talking about the power engineering bored out 1800 seirra engine to 1900 these i beleive had problems with cracking, my 1900 ran 250bhp for 2 years and i murderd it everywere i broke the car still running with no faults id also advise running efi with the 1900 the dont like mfi and tend to run lean up top with efi this range can be mapped
