Default STILL dont know what engine to go for...HELP!

Hi peeps...what would you do in my situation...

a) build a 350hp ZT

or

b) T34, steel bottom end 1600CVH

???

Right to help you picture where i am financially...im a part time worker and a full time student so not much income

if i build the ZT, im looking at about 6k give or take a bit including g/box, management, turbos, manifolds, steel bottom end, injectors etc etc which in itself...will take me a year to save up for without spending a penny

if i build the CVH, im looking at about 3k as i can get everything cheaper, still have a steel bottom end, t34, stage 2 box, EFI from FRST/or Cossie management, etc etc...this is something i could do pretty soon...i.e within the next 6months if that but with unknown power outputs...but guessing about 280-300hp

another twist being, im only planning to keep the car for a year maybe 2 so is it really worth spending 6K on an engine which i will not use for much time (unless i take it out and put it into a Focus later)...but u never know...i might decide to keep the car longer...only time will tell...but the last thing i wanna do is build a MAD ZT and then sell the car once its set up

Also, the CVH route can be installed and EFI rigged up etc all in about a week if that...whereas the ZT will need fabrication of parts, more hassle of fitting etc

so peeps which would you do?

i think you should stick with the cvh route mate unless you know how you can keep 350bhp in contact with the tarmac

i dont get it...why do a lot of people want 250+ bhp on frontwheel cars ?

if you want so much horse power...buy a faster car ?

lads...think we are forgetting the majority of the races i have are rolling starts...2nd/3rd gear....then carry up to silly speeds so traction aint too important...the car will be seeing 1/4s and track days but not on a 50times a year basis lol...probably twice maybe 3 times a year on track...and 1/4 whenever i can be bothered lol

to help with traction though...i will have full rose jointed front end, coilovers, stage 2 bernie box, adn 17's dont think it will be enough but its what ill have lol...oh mappable boost as well....only 10psi in the first 2 gears....more boost in 3rd and full in 4th and 5th
