Default Adjusting clutch pedal travel

Can you adjust the clutch pedal so it sits higher up and pulls the cable more? If so how?

I am still having occasionally selecting gears normally coming down the way and have to double clutch to get into gear which is a PITA.

I should add its an uprated Helix clutch with new quadrant fitted to the pedal.

Pretty sure there's no way of adjusting the pedal, my mk1 orion has a very high clutch which I hate, clutch is new, as is cable and ratchet, but I can't sort it. Are you sure your ratchet is fitted correctly? If the pedal is too low, could be possible to move the quadrant round a click or 2 manually, perhaps?

No mate you cant unless you retro fit a MK5/6 escort pedal, sounds like you may need to if the cable and quadrant are new.

just the quadrant, clutch arm on the gearbox, and clutch are new. Have not replaced the cable so maybe it needs doing too. The clutch is not a paddle so never saw the need to do the pedal conversion.

Cable may be stretched then, that is the easiest and cheapest thing to try first.
Paddles dont necessarily need the conversion, it's the high torque organic range that dont always clear well because of the very heavy pressure plate IME.

i just figured cos i have a splined shaft coming out the top of the box and the clutch arm has teeth it would be a case of moving the arm further forward by rotating it round another spline on the shaft.

I thought the arm on the box could only sit one way and shouldnt be moved?
