Default Quietest s2 rst exhaust system in the highway

So the problem is that i have mongoose 2.5" stainless steel exhaust system with 1 extra silencer (total 2 silencers) and still when i drive 90-100kmh in motorway (2500rpm), the noise is so loud that i have to use ear protectors. Car has all standard sound deadening, spare tire and original solid parcel shelf. Sound in the low speeds is not bad at all, problems start when i have fifth gear and over 2200rpm.
I drove 250kilometers in the weekend and got so bad headache that car stays in the garage until i have silent exhaust system.

ps. Exhaust must flow about 260bhp. I know this must be possible, imprezas etc do have over 300hp and silent exhausts.

My current setup:
Altough that 4" boyracer outlet has been removed and there is now 2.5" outlet in the exhaust.

Hm... the Scorpion under my car is very loud. Especially in low gears. But the faster I drive the "quieter" it becomes. It's because the noise is behind you (most on the tailpipe) and you'll "loose" it when you drive faster. So on the motorway with low revs (less than 4k) it should be quiet enough to bear it for a long distance.

There are just two problems I could imagine:

1. You use an open induction system (K&N/Pipercross cone filter) and the car is producing too much noise under the bonnet. Had similar issues, use standard air filter box with standard silencer.
2. Your exhaust is producing a dead/droning sound which will kill your hearing on long distances. The cure is to use a different exhaust system or different silencers that will alter the sound.

Maybe the wool inside the silencers is burned, so the exhaust gets louder and the sound note lower

I've got a mongoose in the lock up ready to fit as its all stainless, hope I don't regret it

go to a custom exhuast place and have you backbox more tightly packed or enlarged and packed further- best way imo.

ive a 2.5" full stainless system on mine, the fella i bought it off said it was janspeed?but i didnt think they made rst exhausts...im convinced its a magnex, has 1 rear silencer and a 3.5" tailpipe tbh its pretty subtle esp on motorway speeds def not as loud as a mongoose...if u want quiet i would go with magnex

i had a rs that used to spit flames and that car burnt out all the insides to the silencer and it was very bad and poped and banged all the time lol... but i changed for a new back box and it was lovely for a couple of thousand miles lol.

well not looking forward to the ear muffs as my s1 is nearly finished and running t34 and greys with scopian 4" back box and cosworth down pipe ect and airtech monster airfilter straight off the turbo ..... only joking i will love it lol
