Is this worth it?

1.8 Zvh Engine with low comp pistons..ported skimmed head...less than 2000 miles since rebuild..includes manifolds and dizzy..guy who has it says it was done professionally and has all receipts for the build..it has a felpro headgasket..new bearings etc. he was running at standard boost and around 185 brake.

£580.00

is it worth it?? i am seriously considering it for my s1..

will i need a turbo upgrade for this??

many thanks

you wont need a turbo upgrade and for that much i think it is worth it especially if receipts are provided if you dont consider it i will

thats what i was thinking...i only spoke to him on the phone but he said the engine is fully receipted to over 1200 pounds...he said the pistons are accralite...

will i need any different mountings or is it simple plug-in??

AKRS1 10-01-2005 10:13 PM

the mounts i donts know about but the accralite pistons alone are £600 and probably the best you can get. So many rst owners are doin zvh conversions so i dont think it should be that much of a problem to put in. you might wanna take a mechanic with you just to have a look at the engine before you buy it

thanks for the advice..will let you know how i get on..however if i do buy the engine is there a way i can paint without stripping it down?? or do i have to shot blast it first..and then paint...

i would like the thing to look as new as possible to go with the chrome giving a bit of :bling:

cheers
