Default what to do what to do????

am thinking of selling my series 2, have noticed a rust bubble on the rear offside arch, and a few around the sunroof, the floor pans could also do with replacing, there is welding behind the drivers seat that looks like pigeon shit, it passed the mot with it but for peace of mind i'd rather replace the floor pans!! so its either bite the bullet and get this all sorted or sell up??? what do you reckon she'd be worth??? it owes me near 10k!!

Dont paint it, just drive and enjoy whats left of its life.. Start stripping and building for most people just becomes an uphill struggle, unless you have your heart in it. Too easy to throw the towel in once its in pieces too. Some go the other way and start building a monster that never gets finished, Then if it does... becomes a totally un-useable and un-practical motor thats not really worth having.

seen it and heard it so many times. Sounds good when you only think in short term, then the long term comes along and ŁŁŁŁŁ later on engine builds and upgrades, it leaves people in a hard position.

Std CVH thats not smoking and knocking its nuts off with a decent management system, intercooler and breather is all you need to get it round a track with decent respectable times or up a drag strip or even to shopping and back.

If you want more than that fair doo's and even more respect to you is due! Only if you finish it tho..!

cheers for the replies, i know theres no way in hell i could ever make anywhere near what it owes me,
thing is, thats a complete new engine build in there from early last year, and ive had the boot panel, battery tray, fuse box tray all sorted, it just seems to be one thing after another, i think i'll keep my eyes out for good solid shell or maybe an old bonus and swap the engine over and have a sleeper?? the other option ive got is to take it off the road and use as a track car, but having never done a track day i'm not sure what would need doing/checking???
i dont really need the car for the road cos i use my van daily, am just at a low point with it, so i'll see how it pans out!!
