When you fit these is it just a case of adjusting the pedal manually as apose to the ratchet system of the standard one?

well I built my ib5 gearbox with rst lsd and flat relase bearing in and with ap 2000-8 organic clutch

i started to built in the white quarand 10 teeth cut and the mk5 pedal

but i don t like it to mutch play a stretching when pushing the pedal

with the ap 2000-8 maybe the standard mk4 pedal can be use

you could just make your own, i had my old man knock me one up from a block of steel, cut the mk6 quadrant down and pretty much copied the shape of it and drilled some holes in it to make it lighter, been running it for a year now and no problems whatsoever

I always ran the plastic quadrant on mine and never caused an issue with any clutch I ever used.

well I tried with the original mk4 quadrant with automatic adjust and the pedal is very hard an the clutch way is to short when im holding the pedal on the floor an let it 1mm up is directly clutching the way is to short and the 1 gear don t go in very well

well I try with the mk5 quadrant like the ap racing clutch sayed

but need to drill a hole to take the spring an hold the pedal down

Drill the pedal and weld a nut to it. Then use a head bolt with another nut on it to lock it in the correct place. Replicated mk5 without the need to remove the pedal.

if its broken then obviously no choice but to remove it.

In all the years I have been building, racing cars I have mot needed a metal jazzy quadrant.

well I already have a mk5 pedal

but d on t know why but I d on t need to cut the quadrant 10 teeth off because with the cut off my bolt was on maximom to have clutch relase

maybe because the car is a left drive and the clutch cable to long

well I just bought a new mk5 quadrant big radius an try witouht cutting it off

Thanks, not cheap. When I use the mk5 pedal and quadrant do I have
to put the spring back on? Is it the spring from an MK4 or MK5 clutch pedal?

MK4 Spring.
Yes to ensure the pedal doesn't flap around, you fit it to hold the pedal down and take up play.
