ive not long got my erst, it already has a k&n induction kit, straight throo, s/s system, fancy leads and some silicon hoses, not sure off the bhp.

seen a hearts and diamonds ecu, the add says it can take 10 psi boost compared to the standard 8psi.

will i notice much difference from it?

yes you will as long as all is well with the rest of the car.

is your s2 a early one or later one? if its a early one without a knock sensor then the hearts diamond hash ecu wont run the car properly as it will be looking for a signal from the knock sensor

here are the ecu types

blue white blue= s1 no knock sensor
blue white red=s2 no knock sensor 86-87 cars
blue red black=s2 knock sensor 88-89 cars
hearts diamonds hash=s2 knock sensor 90 spec cars

you can use the s1 blue red blue ecu on a s2 which has a blue red white ecu with no probs

aswell as u can use a s2 hearts diamond hash ecu on a s2 which has a blue red black ecu

but u cant use the first 2 ecus on a car fitted with the last 2 ecus and visa versa

you would of thought ford would of been simple about the ecu types and used just one!

Yeah as above if your pre-knock sensor you cant run it, and even if you are not you cant just turn the boost up to 10psi with out the fuelling being set!!
If you want more power buy a MSD chip for £150 or a second hand chipped ECU for around £80 and get it setup!
