Default What do you think is the best set of coilovers for a trackcar!

Hello guys,

I'm now trying to find out what suspension i want to fit on my trackcar. I have seen and heard alot of the gaz coilovers, but the things your read of the users aren't that great?! They work well, but they aren't reliable as they leak; rust; ect...

What are the alternatives for a Mk4 in other brands? and how do you think they are?

This topic is for trackcars and not for roadcars before we get mix up information about them!!!

yeah i have gaz on mine, they work well, but considering they are plated with something or other could have stayed nice looking for longer.....

but they wernt overly expensive so could be treated like a service item........

i have gaz coilovers on mine,i ran them on the road for a little while and are perfect if a little bumpy,i bought them some 5+years ago now so when i bring my car out in a few months time it will be hitting the track, and as for leaking i have heard of avo's leaking they still sell avo's,think spax also do some, also leda's but are quite pricey, tbh gaz are great value for money and i am an happy customer so far

they use inverted billies and you also get a proper machined alloy top mount all shaped to fit turret un like the gaz straight shoulder top hat style, your man to speak with is martin at mef or if he's un able to help speak to tony on here goes under nutsrs or something like that but quality comes at a price mine were about 300 a corner that why people go with gaz but not a patch on martins stuff
