Default new clutch

cood evening and welcome

my new ap clutch come today, basically just wanted to make sure i do the pedal conversion correctly as mine is just abuot goosed!. I've had a good search on here and this is what i can ncome up with:

- Mk5/6 clutch pedal arm(with adjusting bolt)

- White, 58mm rad. clucth quadrant, modified (10 teeth cut oof) i will make out off "allie" (does it need the groove for the cable to sit in?)

- Non abs clutch cable

Also what release bearing would people recomend? one come with it but its second hand, and it seems that the contacting face of the bearing only just sits on the inside of the preasure plate springs, plus i dunna wanna take the 'box out just for a release bearing!

any help would be muchous appreaciatous!

sorry if people find this a bit , but its been a long hard week and my brain is about to sizzle!

any way, day off tomoorow, and off to find a puma gear-shift remote and clutch pedal!

will post some pics when im all done to hopefully help all yous lot!!

Don't know anything about running a different cable. Standard release bearing also.

So, let me get this straight, you've bought a NEW AP Clutch, but its come with a 2ND HAND release bearing?

If your fitting a new clutch, I would buy a new release bearing anyway and do them both together. Saves future problems.

The clucth pedal mod is easy in itself, just a time consuming and shit job.

I found it was easiest to just take the dash board out and the brake/clucth pedal assembly totally out. Took me about 4 hours in total.

yeh i was gonna fit a new release bearing anyways, makes sense really, gonna nip by the dealers on my run-rounds 2mo/friday and grab1.

its not really that shiter job i think. i does much worse most of the time and goona play with a cnc miller to get a nice rad & groove on her!

need to whip the dash out and sort a few things any-ways so, 2 birds........

cheers!!

just to add i have done the conversion also and then found out that you can buy an alloy cluth quadrant so you dont need to modify (and weaken) the mk5 one
