Nice i will be 20 when i buy mine and it will only be a second car prob do under 1000miles a year. I will be fully comp on my fiesta i have at the minute so i will be coverd 3rd party to drive the s2 rst on the weekends and for the summer.
Im not sure wether to buy a s2 rst which has engine mods done or not.
Im looking to spend around £4000 although i would go to around £5000 if i could get one with no rust and low miles. And full service history.
The only mods i would be looking to do, is front and rear strut brace, full stainless steel exhaust system and a baileys dump valve. I like the old school standard look.

I got my first rs turbo at 19. Cost £650 to insure back then. Got my escort cosworth at 27 and that cost me £650 to insure as well. I've had it 5 years now.

Id like to buy as orginal rst as possible then restore and modify it. Im not very mechinacally minded tho, so im trying to do as much research as possible to educate my self with modifying a s2 rst engine and trying to find people's project/build threads.

You're under 25 so the chances are you will not have driving other cars on your policy even though you may be fully comp. Look at classic insurance mate, it'll save you a whole load of agro

My dad would go fully comp on the rst and then when i drive it i would be covered 3rd party. However when the time comes i may be 21 and just go for classic insurance.
Its quite hard to find a good spec rst with full service history and in good nick for under £4000 and id like red or black.
