Wiring Loom
Is the engine loom a seaparate loom from the car loom? Am I right in assuming that if I remove the dash and unplug it, the loom and fuse box should be removable.
The reason I ask is my engine bay wiring isnt the tidyest so I might look for a clean uncut loom.

yeah its all one piece.
the way to get one out (without cutting it) is the obviously disconect it all first. Start from the back, rear lights. (you're going to have to drop the tank to get the fuel pump wiring out/ in without chopping anything. take the drivers seat out and peel back the carpet, then take out the handbrake warning light.
if your taking the dash out its easier, i've only done it with the dash out.
unclip all the relays, clocks and rev counter, and everything from behind the dash.
the interior light and clock is alot more difficult. i snipped this, i couldn't work out how it was done but since i've learned you pull some string through when your taking it out, and simply pull the new one back through again when it goes back.
you then have to carefully pull it all through the fusebox hole. the fuse panel lifts out and theres three screws under it. the relays get stuck and stuff, but its not hard to get it all out. Then your "just" left with the engine side of it all.
the door looms simply unplug, and the only cables that run down the passenger side are stereo, you can leave these in.
Hope this helps.
