Hi

Have recently fitted an uprated AP Clutch along with mk6 pedal & alloy clutch quadrant to my Escort. At the same time i had the flywheel skimmed, junked the ABS braking system, fitted a new Mongoose exhaust system & replaced a couple of bits n bobs like the sump gasket, rear oil seal etc.

Now the car starts and runs fine, but after a minute or two once the car has warmed up a little and the revs drop below about 1000rpm it just wont idle and stalls. Driving along the car is fine & everything is normal!

Have checked for air leaks in the obvious places btw.

Any help is much apreciated?

Sounds like the sump gasket has not sealed mate, you might want check for oil leaks.

Something hasnt sealed right. I'd recheck over the bits you just fitted. Probs just a lose fitting bolt or something daft.

you may have skimmed too much off your fly wheel and it hasnt got the weight to keep in motion?

Mine done this and it was a simple as the dipstick coming out!
