Pink Relay
 

My escort doesnt have a pink relay in it.
Yet when I put one in the fuel pump doesnt prime??

Odd one mate! Sounds like some one has played with your wiring maybe?

hmm might be the case as i have bit of loom in the engine bay have connectors for xr3i components.

Some relays fail in this way, i've seen a few. They only run with the engine running, but not initial prime.
