Hi GUS,I have XR4X4 disc's and Cossie 2WD calipers.Plus a bias pedal box and a bias valve fitted beside my gearlever. And I have a load of bias AWAY from the rear brakes,as they locked up very easy before I set them up.So this plays into Christians hands,as he has still got the factory drums, and he strongly disagree's with fitting the rear disc conversion,as its not needed for brake performance.

Now I agree with Christian that braking performance is'nt improved, but I did the conversion for 2 reasons..........
1.I hated fitting the rear shoe's and all them fiddly little springs and clips!!
2.By having pads you can have a quick glance to see the wear rate. With drums you have to remove the wheel and drum to see the wear on the shoe's.Too much hassle invovled!!

Thats just my opinion, let the debate/war start!!! Hope I have'nt upset anybody.
Regards,Micky

what cylinders are using on the bias box? have you just adjusted the valve or at the bias box aswell?

Yes I have enough out of the rear's.I adjusted the pedal box 1st,and then fine tuned with the bias valve.I've .7 cylinder for the back, and a .625 for the front.Regards,Micky

I haven't played with my brake set-up yet, but I had imagined that I'd be keeping the bias box at a fairly central setting and winding all the rear effort off with the inline valve. I would think that making an extreme setting on the pedal box will have an effect on pedal-feel? We'll see I guess!

One thing I am keen on is the fact that now without the servo assistance, having the wrong pad choice will be far more noticeable. I'm about to fit bog-standard front pads for the road and save a better set for track use.
