Utterly useless, even more so in a turbo engine. Probably it's even running the original size throttle disc.

As said, they are utter shite, still the same size throttle butterfly AND, you'll still have the same inlet on there!!

I did my own nothing to fancy just modified the linkage so its smoother, feels might lighter and responsive on the pedal now, and cleaned it up internally.

There must be some positives to it, otherwise people wouldnt waste their time doing the work on them, surely. Smoothing the insides flush would purely be down to allowing the flow of air to be uninterrupted... much like many items that can be smoothed/polished

Yeah, but when the air has just come through an un smoothed charge pipe, and going into an un smoothed manifold, the air being forced through at atleast 16psi, smoothing a 4" long throttle body won't make an ounce of difference!

I'mm all up for people doing it themselves, but to mislead people into believing it'll make a difference and to take their money for it really grates me!!

i bought 1 for the shinyness..the only difference i have noticed is the throttle pedal seems to be slightly harder to press..dont know if that is a good thing or not...pedal was really soft before..as if it was slack?? anyway not worth the cash if its for power gains etc

What for mate? I think you'd be hard pushed to get to the limit of your 50mm throttle body!
on e bay, there are billet throttle body's 60 or 70mm for around £140 but look at the diameter of your inlet manifold opening /charge pipe / intercooler pipes / silicon hose i/d's / turbo outlet etc etc!
Unless you are changing all those, whats the point??

Just asking really. With all that's been said here, may as well just leave it as it is, unless willing to change alot of inlet system.
