Escort respray
hi guys, well im probably gonna get slated for this but i just want some opinions. I,ve been thinking about what colour to respray my escort rst, and the colour im gonna go with is kawasaki lime green. Now i want it this colour coz it will stand out and i love the way the new rs focus looks in this colour. Now i just want people`s opinions on if they think it will look good or crap basically. Thanks guys

crap. dayglo bike colours went out in the 90's, along with 3 spokes, "on a mission" stickers and jungle music blasting from your halfords 90w speakers screwed onto the parcel shelf.
there are plenty of "new" colours to paint it to make it stand out, and if the car is straight to start with it will turn heads, how often do you see them on the road now? a mate of mine has a black one that has a purple metalflake on, it looks smart at night, but in the sun it looks wicked
its your car mate, make your own mind up but i honestly think you'll put the resale value through the floor, apart from dating it horribly.

Its been done a few times, I dont think you will get slated, its only an S2 and only paint at the end of the day. I can say it will add value to the car tho, its a bit 90's!
Im struggling to get any pics at the mo, but i know there are at least 2 rst.s and also a few years back there was an rst twin engined pick up in this colour.
I did my mates camper in it a few years back, blinding colour
If your bodywork is good and you strip the car, id bujget Ł1000 for someone to prime and blow it over with the green. and Ł2000+ if you just hand the car over for a drive in drive out service.
One thing i would highly reccomend, if your serious about this then strip the shell and spray the whole thing, or at the very least the door shuts, door/boot edges, boot floor and the engine bay. There is nothing worse than seeing a cheap spray job with the old paint still showing everywhere then the out side of the vehicle!!!! Also it will have a massive effect on the resale value when you come to sell!!

just dont do it mallard green, otherwise i might just have to kill u
must say though kawasaki green or similar would look absolutely pup spec! a more classy colour choice would be the way to go, and im liking the smokestone/magenta suggestions, so id have to agree with them, both good choices

tbh nowt mate, but its not my thing. i remember being 9 or 10 in 93/94 out with my cousins on a sat night "cruising" .which is the loose term for the word and having all manor of xr2's xr3's cosworths, calibras, cav's, novas and metros all trying to do a bigger butrnout, out do each others stereo and see who had the biggest ganja leaf on their back window . you dont see that anymore, that was all.
