Default Is it worth buying????????

Hi im thinking about buying an rst (really cheap) well to tell the truth its an 1989 cabriolet with an rst lump in it with a few mods eg. pipercams, bigger turbo etc. the problem is it cuts out when it gets warm i asked the owner about this and he does'nt really know wats wrong with it. He told me that after he had it m.o.t'ed he was driving home and it back fired and would'nt start so he had it towed back and left it overnight. The following morning it started but as soon as it warmed up it cuts out.

Is it worth buying?
Wat could be the problem?

all depends on price, what knowledge of the cars you have, what you have to spend on it if it needs some tlc

it needs very little tlc the work has already been done red/black leather interior, resprayed, new hood, morette headlights looks smart as fook just need to sort the engine, i have a bit of knowledge about cars after owning two xr3i's and two xr2i's but never owned a turbo. from wat i have been told it has a 1.8 bottom end, pipercams and vernier pulley, ports polished and an uprated turbo and i expect the internals have been uprated aswell. i went to see it again today and got it running, but after about 15/20 seconds it dies like someone just turned the ignition off very strange please help

The way i look at it is if it all goes tits up and you need to break it, would you get the money back plus a bit more for the hassle of breaking it??

oops to late i could'nt help myself 'bye bye zx6r' it was'nt nothing special anyway only paid 1100 quid for her and she needed some work and this turbo cabby is worth alot more if i break it for spares hopefully it won't come to that. been reading through the reciepts and there's some things i did'nt mention it has also got spax suspension, 195 bhp conversion chip, uprated injectors dunno wat size didnt state it on the receipt, but still gotta a problem she won't tick over for no more than 20 seconds ish as stated above. started her earlier after jump starting it cause the battery is flat as a door nail, she ran lumpy till giving it a few revs and then it ran fine for a bit and then cut out. oh while giving her a few gentle revs she was a bit smokey could'nt see wat colour, it was dark.

any help would be much appreciated, i will upload some pics asap.

check all boost pipes etc for air leaks, check all wiring connections, when it dies you need to find out what its lacking, ie fuel or spark

there is a knurled nut underneath your throttle body on the left hand side as you look at the engine... just screw it in until your car reaches the desired rpm. I like a lumpy idle and mine is set at around 900 rpm, its a piece of piss to sort mate!
