Default leaks

used to have puddles in footwell of my s1 had the front end rebuilt completely new battrey tray and anything but its still happening any suggestions

door seal,sunroof pipes,windscreen all areas to check!

I had this.... turned out to be the rear light gasket was letting water through. The water travels under the boot carpet, under the back seat and down to the front of the car. If yours is the same, i'd get it sorted as enough water staying in one place aint good for ford metal

try the heater mtrix connections aswell they connect behind the dash and leak into the compartment. Can be blamed for a number of leaks I bet!

Did you seal round the fuse box when you put it back

drivers side is not to bad its the passanger side that is bad and its only just happened with this really bad rain in the last few weeks plus the under dash carpet is wet

Really does sound like battery tray! Or under the heater motors maybe?
But you say it's all new! Odd.......

i had the same turned out to be the bracket for the wiper motor worth a look

had this with my last rs after a new battery tray it turned out to be the seam between the inner wing and the bulkhead just infront of the battery tray . water was seeping through once i sealed it up never happened again

Sure you will find its the heater matrix !!

I had the exact same problem a few years back - went to put car thru car wash and ended up with a bubble bath on the floor - all down to the matrix !!

wont be matrix cars been stood for 2 years and it onlyhappens when it rains

hehehe yeah and why would you have a bubbe bath from a leaking heater matrix? Was there soap and shampoo in with his coolant??
