Metallic noise after fitting Mongoose Exhaust
Hi mates!!
I have just finish installation of New Stainless Steel Mongoose Exhaust 2.5" Bore & 3.5" tailpipe on my Escort Rs turbo S2.
Now I notice some kind of metallic noise (like CLIN-CLIN-CLIN) on idle when the car is cold.
This noise disappear 90% when the car is hot after a fast run.
Seems like gases hit across the internal walls of exhaust system and generate the noise.
I think exhaust it is well fitted, with the clamps, joints sealed without leakage and new Powerflex Bushes, so I think that there are no vibrations that could generate the metallic noise.
Is this normal? Will dissapear after long time?
Sorry for my english.
Thanks

not sure if its the same noise mate but i had noises along the same lines on both my previous rs after fitting mongoose system the first one turned out to be the support bracket just gently tapping the the sill behind the drivers seat on tickover the second seem to come more from the front of the car and only happened when cold and ticking over , then one day i took the system off while waxoiling the car when i refitted it it was no longer there the only thing i could put it down to was the heatshield under the car catchin , but cant be certain

Maybe be???:
1.- when the exhaust is cold the joints-walls are compressed to normal size so the noise appear.
2.- When the exhaust get heat the joints-walls expanding to big size and noise disappear.
So if is this the problem, I have to tight joint clamps harder, but It is very rare because the clamps are tighted well.
I´m looking for other Brand clamps, MIKALOR or something.
