Hey guys,

Just thought I would put my problems up here. Got a couple which hopefulyl someone can help with

1. When she starts up she very rough until warm and runs fine boosts etc perfectly. I thought cold start? But not sure where to start etc hope someone can help.

2. Car just wont tick over right it always dying or running at very low revs around 400-500, as soon as you touch throttle lightly it fine, I got a new throttle cable so adjusting this may work? Or I got told crankshaft sensor? Hope a can get help here too.

The engine is coming out anyway as I need to re shell so work on it then so wont know if works till it back in car but will give you all a shout let it know what happened . Thanks again guys!

the idle screw wont do too much damage mate, maybe just adjust it so it can idle nicely for the few days it takes to get it to a garage. and dont give it death until its sorted though

Sounds like something has changed since the setup, or its a bad setup!?

who set it up? maybe take it back and explain the problems and see what they say.

what you'll find is if you mess with the screw, and its not the problem then it really wont fix much anyway, so you can just turn it back.

That is an easy part mate. It's just a bolt into a hole with a spring on it. You won't do any damage by altering this - it's purely an idle adjuster and will not change any fuelling, etc. The only thing you have ot be aware of is turning it the right way as if you go too far the wrong way (anti-clockwise) you will un-screw it out and will pop out with the spring on it so may struggle to get it back in..lol.
Start the car up then slowly turn it clockwise - you will hear the engine revs increase as you turn (may take a few twists before it starts to alter) then set it around the 900rpm mark.
