RSMK4TURBO 15-07-2008 11:06 PM

Thanks for replies guys, are 195/40 tyres the tyres id need?

Raj B 16-07-2008 11:36 AM

do they defo fit onto standard s2 hubs? I bought some off ebay for mine, but when I offered them up to the hubs they didnt seem to fit correctly. This may be due to them seeing better days though.lol I sold them a week later. Wish I had kept them now :-(

G420 DEL 16-07-2008 05:27 PM

they fit perfectly!

only thing id suggest tho is swapping from wheels bolts to studs.

when i tried my standard bolts in the cossie wheels they seemed like they would go straight through the hole, so i fitted cossie wheel studs to my hubs and used cossie wheel bolts, so i knew that nothing was comeing off.

as for tyres, think you can get away with 205's but i wanted the slightly stretched look and im on coilies so didnt want issues with rubbing, so i fitted 195's. like i said they do stretch a bit, but went on very easily and not had any issues with them at all.

You can get proper wheel bolts for your s2 when you fit cossie wheels from speedshack they are a perfect fit mate got a spare one somewhere

orion_crazy_carl 16-07-2008 07:58 PM

Smartdj. 16-07-2008 09:51 PM

jonnyrsturbo 16-07-2008 10:57 PM

G420 DEL 18-07-2008 06:06 PM

Yes, give them a ring and ask for "Ghia wheel bolts" for fitting cossie wheels they're about £40 inc postage, bought some not long ago for my mondy wheels. They just have a bigger washer on them.

Just a personal oppinion but I dont like this tyre stretching look, all the euro boys are doing it and I think it looks weird. Each to their own tho!

if what ive read is correct, a cars tyres must not pretroude the cars bodywork due to road debris could be flicked up and hit pedestrians, there was a post awhile ago about a vw which had wheels which came out further than the bodywork and he had some probs with the police iirc

G420 DEL 23-07-2008 10:01 PM

lucky my tires dont poke out past the body then lol!

rst in breaking 24-07-2008 07:27 AM

i took 16" mondeo cossie look alikes off my old mk4 van and fitted ecos wheels, the ride was harsh tbh, better ride on 17's
