Escort rst s2 piping? help required asap
There is a pipe that comes off the fuel regulator next to the metering head, does it:
A) require a vacume(sp)
B) does the vacume come from the standard airbox (however i dont have a standard airbox ive got a airfilter so where does the pipe connect to)
C) should i take a vacume from the inlet
or none of the above
hep required urgently on this one!!!
cheers

Cheers for the quick reply Micky.
Ive just had it t-pieced into the pipe that goes from the inlet to the ECU. was running fine with it in there but ticked over higher with it disconnected . ive been looking at some pics tonight and no1 has the done the same as me LOL
it was found in the bay just connected to the regulator and the other end was flopping about in the bay so not sure where its ment to connect to. where abouts on the xover was it connected??

From factory there is nothing connected to the fuel pressure regulator. I'ts just to measure ambient pressure as a reference for the desired fuel pressure.
Many cars have it connected to the inlet. This way when on boost, the fuel pressure in the system will rise.
Just out of intrest and to learn something, where do you lot have the pipe connected? Before of after the throttle body?

If it's been setup with the regulator connected, leave it connected. If it's been setup without being connected to anything, then don't or get it setup afterwards.
