not really pricey when you consider the mileage youll get from the newman to the kent or piper, youll be replacing the kent/piper long before the newman one even needs lifters adjusted

Newman cam itself is actually cheap at £110...it's the lifters that make them seem a bit pricey!! However, having gone through 2 kent cams in the space of 1,500 miles i wouldn't recommend anythin else bar the newman. Lifters are a bit fiddly to setup but worth it imo, wouldn't say the profile is any better than others but seem to last longer for sure

My Kent CVH35 is heading up for 20k miles now and is still as sweet as the day it was fitted.

Due to the horror stories I would be inclined to go for a Newman cam but between the Piper and Kent for this application the Kent wins hands down.

i used to have a piper t2 and after bout 20k miles they start to rattle

newman cams all the way there lifters are only expensive cos there solid lifters and the cams are made of a special grade steel not like the piper and kents

i am in the same problem which cam to go for ,

Also, newman cam are too wild for the MFi. You'll need proper management. Don't know about the FRST ecu...
