Default Cam Lifters Genuine Ford Vs Pattern Part

Buying a new cam shaft and of course lifters for my ERST, the shaft is going to be genuine Ford but i was thinking about pattern lifters purely because of the price difference.

Ford £16 each so 8x£16 = £128
Pattern £24 for full set!!

What does everyone think i should do??

genuine ones are not the old style genuine ones anymore, just sourced from the same places as the pattern parts.

there are good quality ones and bad ones so be carefull, i had some help in choosing mine and they have been fine for a few years now

hmmm...... I guess you'll never really know with pattern parts unless you try! No way of knowing if they are good or bad!

i've used pattern part items from motor factors and had no issue.

This is why i dont like ebay for some stuff, as alot harder to sort issue's of poor quality, but if you go into a motor factors, they have there 'REP' to think about, so wont sell real bad crap.

I personally believe most pattern part items these days are as good as OE stuff if better now, due to technoligy (sp) in production, and new legal Standards.
