Default Changing a valve,

Mate's rs was running a bit rough so had it compession tested and there was none on cylinder4, so had it leak tested and the bloke said its a exhaust valve in cylinder 4 leaking, cracked or bent etc!

So my question, how easy are these to change, done one on a zetec not long ago and it was a case of just taking old one out, sticking new 1 in? I can see it not being as easy tho, heads still on car at mo, being taken off next sat?

Cheers

I hope you lapped the new one in when you did the zetec.
But anyway assuming its definitly a valve, then yer, remove old, fit and lap in new valve. Put back together, job done

Just threw in back in and bolt head back on and away it went, was only a workhorse car so just needed to get from a to b!

What does lapping mean, is it where you get it to sit flush?
