grs intercooler...what boost!
im running standard boost about 10psi but holding only 7/8psi
when i tested the intercooler before it felt abit boggy and not very responsive, just looked and sounded wicked!
what sort of boost will be able to make it more responsive and fill the intercooler quicker...12?14?16?

After fitting the intercooler you really should take it somewhere and get it set up properly!!!
Its the only way to get the full efect of the cooler!!

i had it setup without the intercooler before, cudnt use the intercooler as i didnt have no room for a fan on there so it would overheat (as i found out)
but now ive got some kenlowe fans and i fitted it earlier and wired up the fan on the front, temps seem to be ok with one fan on the front.
was told they fit inbetween the rad and cooler (on the rad) but it doesnt fit!! so just mounted the one on the front (will mount other when i get chance)
seems to be ok tho now with the cooler on and only running 8psi, not realy boggy at all! like it was before i had it setup (without the cooler fitted) but runs well now
will be getting a ofac 195 superchip and some beige injectors soon so should be around 200bhp @ 15psi ish!

i cant get it setup again and to run more boost as the ecu is maxxed at 8psi!
im keeping the intercooler on now as it dont seem sluggish like before, but i will be getting a 195 superchip and beige injectors then setup again..
should see the 200bhp mark!

engine should go bang quite soon then.......... Typical reason why RS Turbo's have a bad rep for going Pop
We fit bigger intercoolers becuase obviously it cools the air molecules going into the engine.Reason we do this is becuase the colder the air molecules, the more they are condensed into a smaller area, thus cooling the air, you get more going into the inlet. More Air molecules+original fuel supply = a lean running engine which means its going to eat away at them pistons mate. I didnt fit my big intercooler untill the night before i took it to MSD to be set up and i drove it like a granny up to them as i didnt want to harm the engine.
Hope common sense kicks in and you do something about it fella!
