Default Gear linkage

Afternoon gents,

Been tidying up the RST the last week or so, one thing I've noticed is that the gear linkages are verry floppy. The joint in particular that seems to flop is the one that joins the bar that comes out of the bottom of the gearbox, looks kinda like a universal joint.

Any hints as to tightening it up. or can you still get hold of them?

Have to check my microcat when I get home and pop to Fords on Monday.

Cheers,

Lee

Get it on a nice solid floor, and bash it so it tightens up. It doesnt last forever, but it does work for a good while.
Tony(nuts) suggested it in a post ages ago, didnt think it would work but tried it and hey presto gear linkage feels much tighter now

I tightened mine up as haz87 said and it lasted a good while, but you can still buy the whole rod and UJ from Ford for around £30, so why bother??!!

If I had known that before I wouldn't have bothered tightening it.
