why not just use a real water injection kit to lower tempratures when required as this will use smaller quantites of water compared to spraying an intercooler, how long are you going to be spraying large enough quantities water to drop tempratures onto and intercooler before it runs out and tempratures rise ?

water spray onto the cooler is a gimmick...

an intercooler never really gets hot to touch so spraying water onto it has no benifets

they do!! but because the i/c on a scoob is mounted directly on top of the engine it is more prone to heat soak than a front mount so the spray is more effective!
not much use on an ERST really.

been thinking of it myself

thinking of taking an aluminium tank which is sealed and bleed some boost into it , force feeding a windscreen washer pump which sprays into a couple of wide spray garden sprinklers

either use a switch in cab or
wire it to my Gotech output or
trigger it via a switch on the throttle

logically , it has to make a difference?

About a year ago in a bored weekend i´ve maded an IC spray for mine.

If you are rolling on the city with external temperatures of 42ºC, it helps a little. But... you need to isolate a lot the water tank, and don´t have really some benefits. You can cold the air for example from 44ºC to 32ºC what isn´t a really big difference. And it warms up again really faster...
