D'oh! Wrong side of the ECU

Where it says GTE, on the opposite side there will be a sticker with a 4 letter code on there, should be OFAB or OFAC

Oh and BTW, that ecu sat there like that isn't good for it

Right the 4 letter code is OAFC. If I have to plug the chip on here, it looks a bit knackerd.

The green in the photo looks like the curcuit lifting off the board.

hmmmmmm, to be honest, if you plug the chip on carefully it should stop it lifting anymore, just got to be careful not to catch it and make it worse.

Im not sure how the copper is bonded to the board originally, PCB lacquer is usually only to stop the exposed copper corroding and degrading.

the chips for the EEC IV ECU's are all essentially the same i believe, but you need one specifically for your car, any old chip will fit but the map on it wont be right.

Best thing you can ever do is contact one of the tuners off here (theres only a handful of people that can do chips for this management in the country), Stu @ MSD off here would be a safe bet, hes a great bloke.

I think if youn tell him your spec he can do you a very close map, or alternatively take the car to him and you can have it set up spot on
