Default heeeellllp rs driving me daft

hey up chaps

need some help with the s1. firstly it started cutting out when driving both on and off the power, it would cut out when spanking it and also when stopped or trundling along. if you left it for a couple of seconds then tried it a gain it would start no bother. then it conked out and wouldn,t start so got the tow truck out and bingo it started againwith much banning and backfirin then it was ok. when i drove home it was fine parked it up, then went to start it a few hours later and the thing wouldn,t start at all, checked the plugs there ok but there was no spark to the plugs any ideas??

to test coil, get an old plug, or nail and sit the lead with the plug in it or nail in it on rocker cover or summit to earth it onto and get sum1 to turn it over n see if u can c a spark, do the coil lead first, if their sa spark then to each dizzy lead!

might also be worth you checking all your vaccum pipes, and boost pipes, if any of these leak or are split the car wont start very well, and certainly wont drive very well.

Hi mate, had exactly the same thing happen to me,did all the various tests and was the dizzy, might be best investing in a new one mate,as if it is the dizzy will be affecting performance as well so u will need to put a new one on and i would get it tuned as well mate.
