hi ive got a escort rs turbo s2 all of a sudden the idle not right ive cleaned the sensor and its still doing it what could it be and what could i do to stop it any info would be grateful cheers scott

My guess is the throttle body will need cleaning out.

got a dump valve????, if so take that of and try again, then check the seal onb the oil cap and dipstick, then the black plastic pipe from the breather,

sounds like an air leak

What sensor have you cleaned? My guess is its more than likely an air leak. IF youve got a vacuum gauge watch what it is doing/reads at idle, it will tell you a lot.

what should the vacume be,

both rs turbos ive had experince with seem to be around 10 psi

the old mans evo vacumes at 22psi at idle!!

Should be nearer the 20psi mark really, does the gauge sit steady or is it all over the shop?

ive sorted my car now it the c0 was to low it was running to lean thanks fo your info
