Default Intercoolers

how essential is it to run the twin fans on the fmic's? they make much difference? would they be needed to run a spec around the 200bhp mark?

it's not so much the power mark thats the problem, its the fact that all front mount intercoolers bloke off the flow of air to the radiator that creates the problem!!

2 fans in my opinion is the best way and the cooling system has to be in top condition. i used to run with one fan and on times it was'nt enough! not a problem since adding the second though

1 fan is all you need if you select the correct spec fan

Only got one fan on mine at the mo (GRS) but got another one on the way, flushed the rad out to make sure the rad was workin at its best and when i'm drivin temps aren't a problem. Even when canin it, never goes above halfway. The trouble is when u stop as the heatsoak of the engine/turbo causes the temps to rise considerably, and it's then that the single fan struggles to get the temperature down quick enough. Addin the 2nd fan will reduce the cool down time......hopefully!
