front half shafts, awd

Does anyone know if the front half shafts and cv joints are the same each side? I have a spare front right, but my front left is going away. I wanted to know if I can replace it with my spare.

Possibly, though if they are different the O/s inner joint has a slot in the end for the circlip within the front diff

I was told that the driveshafts are identical lengths, although one has the circlip groove. Not many people fit the circlip in anyway.
