Can someone help misfire with my escorth T25 small turbo
hello,
Can someone help me with my escorth T25 small turbo with a stage 2 GGR chip.
It has a misfire with full trothle and starts about after 1,2 bar turbo pressure.
I have replaced the spark plugs 3 times already (gap at ,65mm) but this seems not to be te problem.
Has someone an idea??
Greetings from belgium
Daniel

What plugs are you running Daniel?
You could do to go down a heat range, as this usually eliminates bad spark, but can cause slighly rough idling.
If not check wiring to coil packs, and the leads themselves
hris

I have had similar problems.
I tried the plugs , then the coil , then the plug leads , then the fuel system, crank sensor and it endid up to be the lambda probe of all things
Hope you find it !!

It can be one of many things....
Its currently happening on my escort cosworth too, but i think mine is due to the gap on the plugs. I will check this and see if it sorts it. Thing with small turbo cosworths is you can only use a certain type of spark plug, its either standard small turbo or standard big turbo ones you use, cant remember, hopefully STU comes on here and sorts all.

I already tried these sparkplugs "NP DENSO PK20 PR P8" and "MOTORCRAFT AGPR12PP" with a gap of 0,65mm but the problem remains (misfire at 1,2 bar). Is there a possibility to check if the coils are malfunctioning (if they are still ok?).
Because i'm planning to rebuild my engine to a big turbo version, and maybe it's stuped to put a lot of money in it now.
The leads seem fine to me.
Maybe I can add this; since I'm having problems with misfire, I have also distortion on my radio from my engine (I mean, I can hear my engine trough my radio)
