Default rear diff cover removal

How the holy hell do you remove the diff cover? Mine has a very slight leak and I wanted to make a gasket for it. I got all the torx bolts off (T50) except the top two, which you cant get to because the diff mount is there. Doesnt look like you can remove the diff mount from the diff either unless you remove the fuel tank. am I missing something obvious? Thanks!

no need to remove the tank, you can access the four bolts holding the diff mount up easily, they dont have a gasket ,just some instant gasket type stuff

I can reach the bolts that bolt up to the body, but not the two bolts that attach it to the diff itself. Unless I can get those off and the diff mount away from the diff, then I cant get those two torx bolts on the rear diff cover.
yeah I know theres no real gasket, just that goo crap, but I want to cut a gasket for it since the goo stuff doesnt seem to work for me

all you need is a trolley jack to support the diff, undo the mount from teh chassis and you can then access the 2 torx bolts that it hides as you let it swing down just enough on the jack, give it a good wipe out and refilled with some nice new fully synthetic stuff, and like above, just make sure both mating faces ate super clean (use carb cleaner or similar, then just squeeze a small bead of silicone around the plate (including around all of the bolt holes) then refit and fill bck up with oil.

took about an hour to do the lot.
