I'm sure you'll have no trouble tracking down the EsCos of your dreams, there are plenty of modded examples about. Big turbos are easier/better for big power. What's your budget?

Ive never driven a small turbo one, but i loved the kick up the arse my old large turbo used to give me when it came on boost. Something thats a little lost on the small turbo one

I agree totally, when looking for my one, I was so disapointed with the small turbo one my rst felt quicker. There was no way I would have a small turbo over a large one, infact I've just gone for a T38.

I'd say buy a big turbo also.........but then i've never driven a small turbo one though. The kick up the harris is a good feeling

buy the car you want, and not the car everyone else wants you to buy. at the end of the day its you lolly , if you like the colour, spec, driveability etc then go for it. people with mallard will say buy one of them, people with imperial will say buy one of them if you know what i mean. fook every one else and do your own thing

Standard small turbo ones are pish yes, but any standard escort cosworth is pretty shite....I had a s2 that had a chip and an exhaust and was running 14psi and i bought an escort cosworth which was standard and the rs turbo was a good bit quicker.... Ive now got the escort with a Graham goode 305bhp conversion and it pulls about 10+ carlengths on the rs turbo..
So as standard small turbos are wank, but throw a bit of cash its way and hey presto.
I raced a guy that had a stage 3 big turbo escort cosworth with around 340bhp and my small turbo was faster than it, not by much mind you but it did pull about 2 carlengths on it, and yes before you say it the guy can drive
