Unless you have a full rollcage I wouldn't do it as it weakens the shell dramatically

I was thinking this might be the case. I am thinking about doing it on my 944 because the seal on the stock sunroof is awful. Only thing would be I was only thinking of fitting a half cage

I think twin's has one on the rst?
