The Group A Escort Cosworth used a semi trailing arm rear suspension, not a mcpherson strut. The Escort WRC did use a mcpherson strut at the rear, but it was not cast iron, it was the exact same upright as used on the front.

Perhaps this cast iron one is from a Mondeo if it really is a Ford part.
