In your fucking DREAMS . Greys run out of fuel at 440bhp (unless you mean 8 of them ;)) :p .

To achieve 500bhp at 7k on a 2 litre Cossie engine, you would need a T4 size turbo, and sufficient fuel (8 greens or 4 x 750cc injectors) and 30-32 psi depending on headwork / cam choice.

Dan 06-04-2005 12:37 PM

What CC's are Grey injectors rated at then? :?

i will be running 660cc at 5 bar the engine mapper

said this is enought [siemens disc injector] :?

my cam's are one off billet's made to cossy profile

they had load's off lift i had to machine the bucket's

to a bigger diameter

Mike Rainbird 06-04-2005 03:12 PM

Dan,
Just over 500cc at 3.5 bar.

Wilky,
That is a hell of a lot of pressure to be running at, you sure the fuel pump is up to that and won't cavitate ?

Personally, I would use a high flow pump and run it at a lower pressure....

mike thank's for that i have got a uprated pump

i think it's a walbro i find out what the capacity it flow's

will any body know on here if i find out the number's on the side

of the pump

Mike Rainbird 07-04-2005 10:52 AM

Wilky,
You need to check that the pump is okay to run at that pressure, because don't forget that with a rising rate regulator, it will have to run at 7 bar (with 2 bar of boost) and it may shit it's load at that....

sound's like i'am going to get in a lot of trouble.
i hope i don't have to make another fuel rail
an siemise my injector just made that lot last week

i think the mapper said it's 5 bar at full boost total
i have to find out

i need to run a remote fuel reg .do you know of a good
one to use as i have herd bad thing's about some after
market fuel reg's

thank's for any info mate

Mike Rainbird 07-04-2005 01:13 PM

The standard Cossie one is very good and is cheap as chips. Will run at 3.5 bar static fuel pressure all day long (which means it sees 5.7-5.8 bar on big power engines) :top:. Avoid the FSE ones ;).

thank's mate i will look out for a cossy fuel reg
