Default Suhe Motorsports kit?

Proper wall of text incoming

So, i recently became the owner of my very first Escort RS Cosworth =D
During the lookover prepurchase i noticed several odd things, a few annoying things, and a few surprising things....
Let it be noted, i am not skilled or experienced with the workings of the beast quite yet, although i am learning as much as i can as fast as i can ;p

Apart from it having had its services regularely all through 0-135tkm, the 105tkm service had been done by Suhe Motorsports. Short story, everything looked well, apart from a small list of things i used to haggle it down a bit to an amazingly comfortable price. Leaving me with a decent sized addition to my cosworth budget.

Mod list;
Upgraded fuel pump(No idea where, in the tank? :S how to check?)
upgraded injectors?
big turbo+manifold swap kit
305 ggr chip?
fuel reserve tank(must have a name, but i dont know it. Saves fuel incase you defy gravity too much and the fuel pump runs dry from sucking fumes.)
Oil catch tank thingy? (so clueless..)
H&R adjustable somethings(papers in car..) shocks
HTT markers on the doors (High Torque Turbo markers?)
Suhe boost pressure gauge wich looks original but has suhe printed on it. Sticker? xD

So, those are the claimed mods. No idea whats true and not since the seller wasnt the modder, but hopefully i can get some help to find out. I was hoping to have a local tuner have a gander, but he is ofc on extended vacation and i dont wanna wait 2 months in fear of driving my new precious. For now i have no idea how to post images here, since i dont use any photosharing servies ;p Ill try to post what i have atm on view in profile if possible? after this rant.

It spools slow, but its very steady once it does start.after checking the injectors i got 0280 150 200 wich turns out is 300ccm citroen, peugot and bmw injectors?

the engine has yet to get any warmer than.. uhm, between the "o" and the "n" on temp gauge ;p It ticks a little when cold, but it fades over a few minutes, then if i give it a slight slap on the gas rev 2-2,3k rpm once, it goes away completely.

I have an issue with it maintaining idle after getting revs then disengaged. Like clutching it after some acceleration, when the revs drop, its 50\50 if it dies out or not if i dont re engage gear or tap the gas slightly.

Those are the main things giving me concern when i add them up. From what i have read, the mods supposedly on my car should "easily" bump 1,4-1,5 bar? Is the reason my pressure is low the injectors being too small or the chip just not being set to give me more, or some error somewhere?

The engine pulls well all through when it finally starts pulling boost. it never splutters or fails to deliver the 1,1+bar throughout 2,5k rpm and up to 5-6k rpm. The one time i did push 6k rpm i actually won a straight line vs an elderly S4 with bolt-on mods. (proud moment).

In conclusion, I have been driving it for a week now, and nothing has exploded yet. Im afraid this car has not been shown much love, since it feels a bit worn out. Luckily, the nearsteal price on it has let me have some freedom when it comes to improvements.
I want to drive it, but not risk worsening anything already on its way out, before my tuner gets back from vacation and someone with half a brain at least can take a look at my car and tell me if something is about to blow.

What are your tips for me as a first time cosworth owner with the above mentioned problems apart from waiting ofc? Is there something i as a novice with access to knowledge can do at least while waiting for the mechanic? Since purchase ive run about 2 tanks of gas through it, Although obviously much fun, also filled with anxiety.

I cant wait for the day when i finally trust my cosworth enough to let it loose!

Thanks for any and all advice =)

Get some pics up first to give everyone an idea of what's fitted in your engine bay, use photo bucket, if on your phone there is now a photo bucket app, you need to copy the link on each picture listed as img and paste it here and then the picture will show, car doesn't sound too bad from what you've described, just keep an eye on your oil level, the ticking on startup is probably your hydraulic lifters as I don't think the 4x4 cosworths get piston slap on startup

First attempt, and thanks for the advice on Photobucket =D

Btw, anyone know where i can get a center console thingy, one piece wich runs from the window buttons up to the AC unit, or between the AC and the hand brake if you will. Im missing the lid beneath the cd player and the frame for the ashtray.. And the leather on the stick is horrible ;p

The alluminium tank is probably your oil catch tank, the turbo isn't a t25/28 so is something bigger as the seller said, looks like you have a fuel filter in the engine bay which I've never seen before, don't know if this is normal on escort cosworths or not... The boost gauges inside the car look standard other than the name stamped on them, looks like the car is running the standard eeciv ecu which I don't think many tuners provide big bhp chips for... As for the injectors I wouldn't have a clue, car looks stunning without the upper spoiler though, good buy

Just seen you have 2 alloy tanks, I'm guessing one is fuel and one is oil, follow the tubes or just disconnect a tube off and you'll find out which is which

Martins old car... Suhe Motorsport is a well known German company, used to do quite a bit for Cosworths but obviously Cosworths are old now so they've moved on.
Looks like one of your tanks are oil catchtank/breather, no idea about the other one. Fuel filter should normally be located above rear beam on the right side. Fuel pump is in tank, normally needs to be dropped down to gain access.
Leather gear gaiter can be bought on ebay, could fit a single DIN blanking plate under the CD player. Cheap fixes until you can source a new centre console, note that LHD and RHD centre consoles are different.
Seems you have plenty to learn, get yourself onto www.escortrscosworth.com Using the search function on there will give you lots of answers...
And your bananapod gauges are not standard, the normal ones only go to 1,3 bar.
Temperature gauge are not to be trusted, varies from car to car, not the most accurate things made.
HTT badges were a Swiss special for the small turbo Escorts AFAIK.

The choice of injectors seems odd; if they are 300 cc/min then they are smaller than the OE injectors.

Default injectors

easy to get caught out with the smaller injectors rather than the bosch 803s[what we would refer to as greens] there is an ebay add that would almost have you buy them..
