Thinking of getting one when I save up the old ££££'s idea is to use more as an everyday car most of the year, any one have any tips on what to look for, what would you be expected to pay, big turbo or small, what sort of power are they good for as an Everyday car, and how many use them every day?
Cheers

I use mine everyday at the moment and have done for a good 9 months. My last one as well I used all year round for the year I owned her.
I had two small turbo cars but both converted to big turbo, if your not interested in over 300 bhp then go small turbo with a GGR 305 setup, apparently they drive really nice.
Mine is aT34.63 and boosts around 2 bar, it has also been converted to RWD so takes out the chocolate gearbox and diffs etc. Downside to RWD is its a handful!
All depends on your budget with the car your looking for. If its a daily I wouldnt bother spending big money, get one that is mechanicly sound (dont bother with low miles) and try find one with as little rust as possible. They will rust around the arches and pretty much anywhere else. Around the boot, sills, arches, battery tray etc etc.
Mine has never once not started, pulls well and goes like stink
If you go into it with your eyes wide open, your asking a 20 year old Ford to be a daily and will no doubt want it to go like shit off a shovel so expect issues.

Nice car that mate, it looks a handful, I was pretty much thinking what you stated there, from looking around and getting an idea on prices I think I'll be looking at 9-11,500 £ for a decent one to use every day a small turbo would do me but think would probably go for the big turbo then the option is always there to tune etc

thanks guys
it'll not be getting used daily though, it'll only be weekends between april-september because of the reasons steve has said above, the north sea air up here isn't too healthy for the metal
