I believe most guys just leave the small turbo loom in place and add a 4x4 L8 ecu loom to run the engine, leaving all the other small turbo stuff intact. As already suggested, get over to the Escort forum quick!

To fully remove it you'll have to untape the enite loom, what i did on my mates was hide to old loom up behind the dash.

Hi mate I am just in the process of converting mine at the moment the easy option is to have a loom made to suit i.e. for wasted spark 02 sensor etc. and leave the existing ford loom in place you can remove the engine loom completely just unplug it from the two large multi plug on the N/S inner wing. I wish I never start it now I am up to £3500 and I still need to buy a chip and get it mapped.

Yeah mate I know I hope my wife doesn’t find out how much I have spent and still have to spend. I have bought the MSD coil pack conversion as I did not want to go on to a dizzy. I have also bought a new t34 .63 turbo, a radtec intercooler with radiator so I can keep the air con, a set of Siemens 55 black injectors and a Kent AB07 inlet cam I am hoping for the 400bhp mark. You did well to get a throttle body with PF09 TPS I had to pay £130 as they are like rocking horse s**t

its not that bad when you have wire diagram so you no what goes where its ok because you only need to keep rev, temp, oil light/gauge/ in the engine loom then connect fuel pump and she runs so i kept 4 wire from engine loom and cut out 56 and she runs perfect first time now for trip up too blackpool to msd on the back of my vivaro 400 mile round trip and cannot wait

I’m away at work at the moment so progress on mine has stopped and it will be Christmas time when I get home next so I will not have time to work on the car, it will be about February time before I get back on it. My new intercooler arrived and wiring loom so I have nearly all the bits I need now. I wanted to keep my air con so I had to get one off front pulley made. I just need to get a new fuel pump and some other bit and bobs and that me ready for MSD and 400bhp hopefully. When you going to MSD? I im quite lucky MSD is only 30 miles away from me.

Yeah I no the feeling it's hard to find the time I'm a mechanic by trade but the time I finished get some dinner it's 7.30 already and with Christmas and stuff hard to find the time but from the sounds be worth waiting and taking your time in the long run took mine out today and its running perfect only got a stage one chip init that came with the Ecu and boost holding 15psi but it feels so much stronger on the road than before I am going to call tomorrow and see when they can fit me in i feel like a child on Christmas morning again
