thought i would post this as this part seems obsolete and very hard and expensive to get hold of, so here it is at a fraction of the cossie tax price.

the Escort/Sierra 4x4 Fan Belt Tensioner.

But with a little research , still in France , i found it for 55 Euros ( 47 pounds )

35 quid for a gates tentioner isn't dear???

I tried sourcing an original ford escort cosworth one, and they wanted £120 for the privilege. Even second hand ones from a breakers cost £60, so that's why I posted this to stop anyone else making the same mistake.
