Default Tailgate noise

Tailgate in my Escos is really noise, it starting to make me mad. Its alread adjusted so it's very hard to close it and it is still becoming noisy after few km's after adjustment. Ist my bodyshell just rubbish, or is it normal with Escos or maybe anyone can tell what to do. We have really terrible roads over here and the are bumps and pot holes everywhere and all the time I hear suills, and clatter and other things. Makes me mad in fact.

are the back wheels round? if not get them balanced. also try adjusting lock downwards so it pulls bootlid down tight onto buffers

Wheels are not a problem. Rather roads here are. Even my moms Focus 1.6 likes to squish and make strange sounds when driven around warsaw and it's much much softer than the Cossie.

It's very hard to close it already. I already changed the lock because it was a little loose.

I am worried if it is not chassis flexing but doesn't seem likely it wasn't that badly damaged and it has rear brace. Dunno :-/

I had the same problem on mine sorted it now its dead easy! on the tailgate there are 2 adjusters, (1 either side) wind these in so the tailgate is easy to close then adjust the boot catch to its full adjust (downwards) now just tweek the adjusters so it closes first time.. if they are too tight and the tailgate is awkward to close this will make it rattle on the hinges because its under stress on the adjusters..

Tip:- make sure you dont wind the adjusters in too much else the tailgate catches on the rear bumper and rubs the paint off and eventually will go rusty like mine did ..

also try replacing the little rubbers on the parcel shelf ! these also rattle a lot.,..
